WDUZ 1400 is a sports radio broadcaster licensed to Green Bay, Wisconsin. The radio is serving the audience of Green Bay region on the frequency of 1400 kHz on AM dial. The channel along with its FM sibling WDUZ, is marketed as “Sports Radio 107.5 and 1400 The Fan.” The daily working of the broadcaster is performed at its studios, which are located along with its transmitter on Victoria Street in Green Bay. The channel not only targets the domestic audience but people from overseas or non-local areas can also enjoy the programming from the web portal of the broadcaster.
Apart from its FM sibling, the station also has four other sister stations WOGB, WKRU, WPCK, and WQLH, and all of them are owned and controlled by Cumulus Media. WDUZ 1400 operates round the clock by using the effective radiated power of 1,000 watts. The C-class operator simulcasts programs from CBS Sports Radio and Green bay Packers.
The channel started its journey in 1947 under the ownership of Green Bay Broadcasting Company. In the mid-1990s, the station served its audience with news, sports, talk, and adult contemporary music programming. The all-sports format was adopted in the latter half of the 1990s and rebranded as “Sports Radio 14 The Fan.” In the fall of 1999, the channel along with its FM sibling, was acquired by Cumulus Media.
