WDRU 1030 is a popular American radio broadcaster that is also known in the market by the brand name “AM 1030 the Truth.” The station is based in Creedmoor, North Carolina, and airs across the boundaries of Raleigh/Durham and Research Triangle. The programming of the broadcaster can be heard on the radio by tuning to 1030 kHz on AM dial and also digitally through the HD2 channel. The domestic coverage of the station is increased through its rebroadcasters, which airs on 105.5 MHz, 105.7 MHz, and 106.5 MHz.
The station signed for the first time on 1st September 1989 by the name WFTK. Baker Family Stations was the parent company at that time. The first studios of the channel were based along North Carolina Highway 56 in Butner. The channel switched to its current callsign on 3rd May 2005. The broadcaster was initially licensed to Wake Forest. After 2005, it was relicensed to Creedmoor.
