580 CFRA is a Canadian radio operator that serves the boundaries of National Capital Region on the AM frequency of 580 kHz. The history of the broadcaster started on 3rd of May 1947 when channel begins its operation by airing streaming over 560 kHz powered by 1000 watts. Its current power consumption is about 50 kW in the day time and 30 kW in night hours. The call letter which station currently uses means “C Frank RyAn.” The station is headquartered in the Bell Media Building George Street in the ByWard Market while its broadcasting is aired out by the transmitter based near Manotick.
